Review: Cover FX Custom Cover Drops

customcoverdrops_n10Hello! I’ve been putting a lot of foundations to the test lately. I’m all about a nice looking complexion without it beeing to cake-y or unnatural looking. With my fair skin tone I feel like a lot of my skin issues shows up a lot. With redness it looks very red because the redness is on a”white” background if you will. And the under eye darkness is looking very dark because of the low pigmentation of my skin. That’s why i feel like I’m always looking for a product that looks natural on the skin but also will correct some of the issues on it. I don’t need a full coverage because the condition of my skin is okay but it’s more to get evened out and looking fresh faced.

I watched somebody on Youtube doing a review on it, i think it was Tati from GlamlifeGuru – I love her channel! She put Cover FX Custom Cover Drops to the test and she loved it. She’s been saying that she has continued to love the product and I knew I had to try it out.

It feels a little bit like you can be your own little chemist, because the foundation can be mixed with face oils, other foundations, primers, moisturizers, the works! On the Cover FX website it says about the product: Custom Cover Drops contain concentrated pigments that allow you to customize any product and adjust the level of coverage you desire.

Along with the foundation I also bought one of the Cover FX face oils which can be mixedneroli_hydration in with the highly concentrated drops. I bought the Cover FX Custom Infusion drops, which is a face oil which is enriched with vitamin A to nourish and hydrate dry and damaged skin. It certainly is a lovely oil but the real star of this show, I feel, is the Custom Cover Drops.

I’ve tried mixing it with the Neroli face oil, with the face oil and the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in pearl and today I’m wearing the Cover drops mixed in with my Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrée which I LOVE using as a base before any makeup application. I have to admit that I haven’t tried using the drops on it’s own because i just don’t go for that full coverage experience that often. But mixed in with the oil and the moisturizer the prodct is amazing! It gives the nicest natural looking coverage without beeing cake-y. It’s so light weight when mixed with other products that I don’t even notice that I’m wearing it. I have to say that I’m really in love with this product – it’s my go-to foundation/BB-cream.

Have you guys tried this product?

  1. I want to buy the custom cover drops! Most of my foundations are starting to become too light on my skin because I am getting a tan from the warmer weather, and I don’t want to have to go out and buy a new foundation. Thanks for the review!
